I grew up in southeastern Virginia, attended school(s) in New England - twice (the first time is when I lost my southern accent) and in the Midwest (it was cold, but I learned to love ginger beer and to refer to it as “pop”), lived (and loved) a stint in California before heading back to New England. I met a Maryland native in Massachusetts (we were both nomads of sorts…), got married, and now we have been living in Maryland longer than any other state (with 3 children and now a dog and a chicken)! I have a fine arts background in drawing and painting—with a bit of photography and printmaking in the mix. More recently I have fallen in love with surface design and surface pattern. Finding beauty in unexpected places and in everyday encounters always inspires me.
